PURPOSE
An Educational Resource to Educate Students to Safely Put a Blade on a Scalpel
At the University of Guelph, undergraduate students have the opportunity to learn the human body through dissection. During this process students must be capable of safely attaching a scalpel blade to its handle. There are many things to consider during this process, from knowing which regions should be handled, and how the blade should be oriented during different steps, to the use of a metal pan to push the blade onto its handle. This process piece condenses all of those critical details into an easy to understand progression.
